Founded in 1925, Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) is one of the leading and only National Chamber of Commerces having headquarter in Kolkata, and one of the most pro-active and forward-looking Chambers in the country today. Its membership spans some of the most prominent and major industrial groups in India. ICC’s forte is its ability to anticipate the needs of the future, respond to challenges, and prepare the stakeholders in the economy to benefit from these changes and opportunities. Set up by a group of pioneering industrialists led by Mr G D Birla, the Indian Chamber of Commerce was closely associated with the Indian Freedom Movement, as the first organised voice of indigenous Indian Industry.
Thane Belapur Industries Association (TBIA) was established on 15th August, 1978 and registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860. It is also registered under The Bombay Public Trusts Act, 1950. oday, more than 3000 industries are located in TTC area. The Managing Committee interacts with various Government and Semi-Government Bodies to promote industry viewpoints. Today, TBIA is recognised by all such Authorities and it is recognised at various Central and State Government and local level authorities as well as various Chambers and federations in the Country.
The Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM) is a not-for-profit association formed to be the apex body of the Indian defence industry. SIDM plays a proactive role as an advocate, catalyst, and facilitator for the growth and capability building of the defence industry in India.
